Did you know that women in the US had to have a man co-sign for their business loan until 1988? That’s the year before Taylor Swift was born! That’s when Prozac came out!

The rights of women, LGBTQI folks, and people of color have been in a slow process of expanding since the formation of the United States, but it’s not a foregone conclusion that will continue. The Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade, which granted women a federal right to abortion, after the Justices had described it as “settled law” during their confirmation hearings.
